Principal's Message

July 27, 2018

Dear Pantera Parents:

We are excited to welcome parents and students back to a new school year.   I am honored excited to be your principal for the third year here at Pantera and continue the academic excellence that the school had established since its very first day.  Pantera has built a rich history of success through the years and I am proud to continue that tradition as we move forward.

A little bit about myself.  I have been dedicated to the field of education for over a decade with a specific concentration in community involvement, school culture and climate, and college preparation opportunities for students. My educational experience has been shaped by four years of successful administrative leadership as an Academy Assistant Principal and five years as an inaugural AVID school site coordinator here in Pomona Unified.  I am excited to bring my skills as an educational leader to Pantera Elementary and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

As a California Department of Education Gold Ribbon School, our results reflect our accomplishments.  We have been recently recognized as in the top 1% of elementary schools in the state of California due in a great part to the dedication of our teachers and staff.  And our students move on to attend prestigious colleges and universities from all over the nation in no small part to the foundations built here at Pantera.

All of us are eager and excited to begin what promises to be another incredible year. We will strive forward as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant and builds relationships. As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors—teachers, students and parents—is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment.  My door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in, call or email me to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas.

It is a privilege to be your instructional leader of such a dynamic school community, and I look forward to meeting you and your children throughout the school year.
